Male HD Liposuction and Chest Contouring

Male body contouring is not female contouring scaled up. The aesthetic targets are different — flatter chest, defined linea alba, V-shaped flanks — and the tissue behaves differently. Fibrous fat is more common, especially in the chest.

Chest contouring (gynecomastia and pseudo-gynecomastia)

True glandular tissue often requires direct excision in addition to liposuction. Pure suction of glandular tissue is incomplete.

VASER's emulsification step can be helpful in fibrous male chest tissue. Surgeon judgment determines technique mix.

Abdomen and flanks

Definition is built by carefully thinning the superficial layer over the rectus and serratus, not by aggressive deep removal alone.

Markings are calibrated for masculine proportion: angular, low V at the flanks, defined linea alba.

Skin retraction and recovery

Male skin generally retracts well in stable-weight patients. RF-based modalities may complement contouring where laxity is present.

Recovery follows the same conservative timeline — stable weight and adherence to compression matter.

Key takeaways

  • Male contouring requires masculine planning targets, not feminine ones.
  • True gynecomastia often needs excision plus liposuction.
  • Outcomes depend on candidacy, technique, and recovery — not the device alone.
