Body Contouring

VASER Ultrasonic

Tissue-selective ultrasonic emulsification — the foundation of high-definition contouring.

Overview

VASER (Vibration Amplification of Sound Energy at Resonance) uses tuned ultrasonic energy to selectively emulsify fat before it is removed.

The technology preserves the connective tissue, vessels, and nerves that surround the fat, which supports refined three-dimensional sculpting and cleaner transitions.

How it Works
  1. A small ultrasonic probe is introduced through the same incisions used for liposuction.
  2. The probe emits resonant sound energy that emulsifies fat in a tissue-selective fashion — the surrounding scaffolding is largely spared.
  3. The emulsified fat is then aspirated using low-trauma cannulas, allowing layered superficial and deep contouring.
Where it Helps
  • High-definition etching of the abdomen, flanks, and back
  • Fibrous areas such as male chest tissue and the upper back
  • Cases where a clean fat harvest is needed for transfer (BBL, breast)
  • Revision contouring after prior conventional liposuction
Honest Limits
  • VASER adds operative time and requires precise technique — used poorly, it can cause more contour issues, not fewer.
  • It is one tool in a plan, not a guarantee of a specific result. Surgeon judgment and case selection matter more than the device.
